Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
PanchatWeb (panchat.fun) is a free collection of browser-based utility tools covering health, finance, productivity, and more. The site is a static website — there are no user accounts, no databases, and no server-side processing of your inputs.
For the purposes of applicable privacy law, PanchatWeb is the data controller for any personal data that may be collected through this site.
2. Data we collect
We minimise data collection by design. Here is exactly what is and is not collected:
| Data type | Collected? | Where / by whom |
|---|---|---|
| Name or email | No | Never collected |
| Tool inputs (numbers, text) | No | Stored only in your browser's localStorage — never transmitted |
| IP address | Indirectly | Google Analytics & AdSense receive your IP as part of normal web requests; we do not log it ourselves |
| Browser & device type | Yes (aggregate) | Google Analytics — used to understand general traffic patterns |
| Pages visited | Yes (aggregate) | Google Analytics — page-level, not linked to any individual |
| Ad interaction | Yes | Google AdSense — governed by Google's privacy policy |
| Cookies | Yes (third-party) | Set by Google AdSense and Google Analytics only — we set none ourselves |
3. Browser storage (localStorage)
PanchatWeb tools save your inputs locally so your work persists between visits — for example, your mortgage inputs, habit log, or reading list. This data is stored using the browser's localStorage API.
localStorage is not a cookie. Data stored in localStorage stays entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to PanchatWeb servers, it cannot be accessed by third parties, and it is not used for advertising. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings (Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files / Local storage).
Storage keys used by PanchatWeb tools all begin with pw_ (e.g. pw_mortgage, pw_habits). These contain only the numeric or text values you entered — no identifiers.
4. Google AdSense & advertising cookies
PanchatWeb uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense is operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
What Google AdSense does
Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to show you ads that are relevant to your interests. These cookies may track your browsing activity across websites that use Google advertising services. Google may also use this data to measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
Cookies set by Google AdSense
The main cookies used include __gads, __gpi, NID, and IDE. These are third-party cookies — they are set by Google's domains, not by panchat.fun.
Personalised ads: By default, Google may show you interest-based (personalised) ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings or by using the NAI opt-out tool. Opting out does not mean you will see fewer ads — just that they will be less targeted to your interests.
Legal basis (GDPR)
For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA) and UK, the legal basis for Google processing advertising data is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use PanchatWeb — which tools are popular, how long people spend on each page, and what devices are used. This helps us improve the site.
What data Google Analytics collects
- Pages visited and time spent
- Browser type, operating system, and screen size
- General geographic location (country/city level — not precise)
- How you arrived at the site (search engine, direct, referral)
Google Analytics does not receive your tool inputs, and we do not send any custom events containing personal data.
IP anonymisation: We have enabled IP anonymisation in Google Analytics. Your full IP address is never stored by Google Analytics in connection with this site.
Opting out of Google Analytics
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visit by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Alternatively, most ad-blocking browser extensions block Google Analytics automatically.
6. Other third-party services
Google Fonts
PanchatWeb loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google's servers receive your IP address and browser information. Google Fonts do not set cookies or track you for advertising purposes. See Google Fonts privacy FAQ.
Chart.js (cdnjs)
Some tools load the Chart.js library from the Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser information as part of the CDN request. Cloudflare does not use this for advertising. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
No social media tracking
PanchatWeb does not include Facebook Pixel, Twitter tracking tags, LinkedIn Insight, or any other social media tracking code.
No data brokers or data selling
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with data brokers or marketing companies. We never will.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR (EEA & UK residents)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding personal data processed in connection with your use of this site:
- Right of access — you can request a copy of data held about you
- Right to erasure — you can request deletion of personal data
- Right to object — you can object to processing of your data, including for direct marketing
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (e.g. advertising cookies), you can withdraw at any time
- Right to lodge a complaint — you may complain to your local data protection authority
Because PanchatWeb does not collect personal data directly (it is collected by Google via AdSense/Analytics), most of these rights are best exercised through Google's privacy controls. Contact us at the address below for help directing your request.
Under CCPA (California residents)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to opt out of the "sale" of personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
We do not sell personal information. Under the CCPA, sharing data with Google AdSense for advertising may qualify as a "sale." You can opt out via Google's Ad Settings or use the NAI opt-out page.
Clearing your own data
All tool data stored by PanchatWeb lives in your browser's localStorage. You can delete it at any time:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Local storage and site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Advanced → Website Data → Remove All Website Data
8. Children's privacy
PanchatWeb is a general-purpose utility site not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Google AdSense does not serve personalised ads to users who are known to be under 13. See Google's child-directed content policy for details.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we do, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page.
Significant changes will be indicated by a notice on the homepage. Continued use of PanchatWeb after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
