About this calculator
Time zones are defined as offsets from UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), the global time standard. Most time zones are whole-hour offsets, but some locations use 30- or 45-minute offsets — India is UTC+5:30, Nepal is UTC+5:45, and Iran is UTC+3:30. Daylight Saving Time (DST) shifts clocks forward by one hour in spring in participating regions, and back again in autumn.
When scheduling across time zones, note that the calendar date can differ between zones: when it is noon in UTC+14 (the Kiribati Line Islands), it is midnight in UTC−12 (Baker Island), yet both represent the same UTC moment. This makes date-aware conversion — not just hour conversion — important for international scheduling.
